It's Thanksgiving time here in the United States, which makes me think of Peter Falk talking about giant tsetse flies flapping slowly off into the dusk with human babies clutched in their beaks.
I *adore* that movie - I think I just saw it again a year or two ago, but it would definitely be worth another rewatch. There was a remake several years back that I ignored the existence of completely. I remember being absolutely devastated when I picked up The Goodbye Girl once and found that it was a new version and *not* the classic version with Richard Dreyfus and Marsha Mason.

It always seems like the remakes are not as good, doesn't it? And "The In-Laws" is one of my favorite comedies of all time - always worth re-watching!
This is a great movie- it taught me a lot about writing a good script.
I completely agree. For me, it's been a great one to study for both the structure and the dialogue sequences throughout. I wish it were better known!
